Food for Kids Program

The Food 4 Kids Program provides a weekly sack of shelf-stable food items during the school year to feed children that are at risk of going hungry over the weekend.

During the school year, free and reduced cost breakfast and lunch are available to eligible students Monday thru Friday at the schools. On Friday a sack of food is given to students identified by the school as lacking sufficient food for the weekend.

Examples of Food Items Used:

If you, your church, or business friends would like to volunteer, we have several ways in which you can help.

Packing hours will be Mondays from 1pm to 3pm. If you need to drop off items over on Kentucky, call Rissie at 331-7815 and she will meet you there.

If you would like to purchase items, here is a list of items we use weekly.

Act's-N-Action

Agape is starting a summer program called Act’s N Action beginning the first Saturday in June.

This program functions like Side-walk Sunday School but also gives the children food to take home and eat, as well as a light lunch on Saturday.

Beginning June 4, we have five churches who have stepped up and adopted a particular weekend to minister to our children in our community. We will be in one area of town each Saturday through August 13th.

Our churches are:

Donations

If you, or someone you know would like to give financially to Agape’ and would like to put it on your credit card, logon onto our website at www.agapebartlesville.com , click the “Donate” button, and then complete the form. This is a secure website, approved by Oklahoma Wesleyan University and the Fortune 500 as being a very safe site.

United Linen

Thanks to United Linen and Mat Saddoris, we now have a van to minister and carry the food out to each location. This first year, the van is white, but our goal is to put a stage on it and paint it “lime green”. So when we go out to the neighborhoods, they will know our van immediately.

Lyons Foundation

New Agape' car to do all the errands, small food pickups and Agape' related duties. THANK YOU LYONS FOUNDATION!!

* Matching Gift
Our Matching Gift program will expand to match employee gifts to eligible 501 © 3 organizations dollar-for-dollar, up to $15,000, and retiree gifts dollar-for-dollar, up to $7,500 annually. Previously, the program matched gifts to accredited educational institutions only.

*Employee Volunteer Grants “Dollar for Hours”
ConocoPhillips will donate $500 for every 20 hours an employee or retiree volunteers with an eligible 501 © 3 non-profit organization. Additionally, teams of four or more employees or retirees may apply for a team grant of $1,000 to an eligible organization.
